Its no secrect that the VDJ landcruiser is one of the most modified 4×4 vehicles in Australia. The 4.5L turbo diesel V8 is one of the most de-tuned engines ever produced making it a perfect plafor for improvment.
This Xtreme Outback Xtra Heavy Duty clutch kit has been engineered around three key principals.
1) Hold more torque that evey 70 series owner will throw into it.
2) Keep the clutch as drivable and close to original feel as possible.
3) Keep idle noise from the transmission as OEM as possible.
Unlike other aftermarket clutches that might hold torue but be noisy and have a horrible pedal feel this drives like a stock cruiser with only a very marginal increase in pedal effort.
These clutches fit onto the OEM flywheel which means that you dont risk getting engine harmonics from aftermarket flywheels (common problem with counterweighted flywheels).
They are engineered to hande 75% more torque than the OEM engine tune of 430Nm. This means up to around 250kw/ 335Hp tunes this clutch will be in in its happy place.
